We are looking for serious applicants who are ready to embark on a fulfilling career in caregiving. Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize transfer assistive devices, such as Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand devices, gait belts, and slide boards.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking.
• Evaluate and monitor changes in clients’ health, collaborating with other healthcare team members as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
• Safely manage and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
• Assess for changes in client conditions and promptly communicate findings to your supervisor.
• Develop and implement engaging life enrichment activities for clients.
• Adhere to scheduled assistance, including repositioning clients as needed.
• Transport clients to medical appointments or shopping.
• Complete all required documentation and charting accurately.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures diligently.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience in medication administration.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• A valid driver’s license and insurance.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation, with a travel radius of up to 25 miles.
• Availability on weekends.
