We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. The Medical Assistant plays a vital role within our care team, collaborating closely with primary care physicians to ensure exemplary patient care and a superior guest experience. Due to our unique operational model, our Medical Assistants manage the entire spectrum of the patient experience, fulfilling both administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Escorting patients to examination rooms and ensuring that they are thoroughly cleaned and adequately stocked.
– Reviewing prior medical records and collecting pertinent updated health information from patients to provide to the provider.
– Measuring vital signs, performing blood draws, administering injections, dressing wounds, assisting with procedures, and coordinating with contracted labs for additional testing.
– Preparing and administering approved medications and immunizations via various methods as directed by and according to written orders from the provider.
– Collaborating with other care team members to develop individualized patient care plans, including identifying and addressing gaps in care.
– Performing front desk duties, including patient scheduling, managing medical record requests and documentation, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, patient check-in and check-out, among other administrative tasks.
– Accurately documenting relevant information in patient medical records in accordance with established guidelines.
– Processing test results and communicating timely updates to patients via e-message, mail, or phone as instructed by the provider.
– Engaging with patients to enhance participation among eligible patient groups.
– Maintaining clinical and office supplies and equipment necessary for treatments.

Qualifications:
– A minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
– Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or a related field.
– National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; certification/registration is required in states where mandated.
– CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
– Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
