We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role within our care team, collaborating closely with a primary care physician to deliver outstanding patient care and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Due to our unique operational model, our Medical Assistants manage the entire spectrum of the patient experience, functioning both as a Medical Receptionist and fulfilling the clinical responsibilities of a Medical Assistant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position but are not meant to be exhaustive:

  • Escort patients to examination rooms and ensure that they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Review prior medical information and gather any pertinent updated health information from patients to inform the provider.
  • Measure vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures, collaborating with contracted labs for additional testing as necessary.
  • Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations via oral, topical, inhaled, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal routes under the direction and written orders of the Provider.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to develop individualized patient care plans, including identifying and addressing gaps in care.
  • Undertake front desk responsibilities, including patient scheduling, managing medical record requests, documentation, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, and overseeing check-in and check-out processes.
  • Accurately record pertinent data in the medical record in accordance with established documentation guidelines.
  • Process test results and communicate timely results to patients via e-message, mail, or phone as directed by the Provider’s written instructions.
  • Engage in outreach activities aimed at enhancing patient engagement among eligible patient populations.
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment required for treatments.

About You:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required, preferably in a primary care setting, though this may vary based on clinic needs.
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or a related program is essential.
  • National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred, with certification or registration required in states where it is mandated for employment.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
  • Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
