Ready to assist one of the nation’s leading office supply brands? We are seeking skilled furniture assemblers to assemble products in customers’ homes and provide service for this renowned retailer’s stores on a scheduled basis every three weeks. Creating an exceptional showroom experience will generate additional assembly requests, making the establishment of a robust relationship with store managers essential for increasing your market hours. Strong cross-selling abilities will be crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute in-home assembly assignments efficiently.
  • Report completed work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform furniture repairs as needed.
  • Assemble Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture.
  • Assemble grills and exercise equipment, among other tasks.
  • Take inventory and identify missing items from the sales floor.
  • Secure displays to ensure customer safety.
  • Make minor assembly repairs to furniture.
  • Clean and vacuum furniture pads.
  • Assemble RTA furniture for the display area.
  • Maintain communication by reporting your work via phone, tablet, or computer.
  • Build and nurture relationships with store managers.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to travel 30–60 miles to various locations daily, depending on the market.
  • A basic tool set is required in certain markets.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers, team members, and management (enhanced communication may lead to increased shift opportunities).
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
  • Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Ability to read and follow diagrams or instructions, and effectively use hand and power tools.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
