Job description:

We are seeking skilled furniture assemblers to join our team and support one of the nation’s leading office supply brands. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling furniture in customers’ homes and servicing retail locations every three weeks. Providing an exceptional showroom experience is essential to driving assembly orders, and establishing a strong rapport with store managers will be crucial for expanding your working hours in the market. Strong cross-selling skills are imperative for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Execute in-home furniture assembly assignments with precision and efficiency
• Timely and accurate reporting of completed work
• Perform furniture repairs as needed
• Assemble Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture, grills, exercise equipment, and more
• Conduct inventory assessments and identify missing items on the sales floor
• Ensure customer safety by anchoring displays appropriately
• Perform minor assembly repairs on furniture
• Clean and vacuum furniture pads
• Report your work using a phone, tablet, or computer
• Build and maintain relationships with store managers to enhance collaboration and expand your service opportunities

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to travel 30–60 miles to multiple locations daily, depending on the assigned market
• Basic toolset may be required in certain markets
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers, team members, and management (improved communication can lead to increased shifts)
• Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day
• Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings as needed
• Proficiency in reading and following diagrams or instructions, coupled with effective use of hand and power tools
• Must be at least 18 years of age
