Role Summary:
The Senior Product & Technology Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in our product public relations efforts. This position involves enhancing the quantity and quality of media coverage pertaining to our core technologies, both current and future. The specialist will assist in crafting key messages and executing communications throughout the lifecycle of Audi products and technologies. Working collaboratively with the Communications team, the specialist will support product and technology launches alongside associated media initiatives, which encompass materials preparation, media outreach, and program execution.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with targeted media outlets across technology, automotive, and other relevant platforms.
  • Analyze factors influencing industry media coverage; develop impactful technology/product demonstrations, events, and media pitches that elevate the brand. Deliver information tailored to the requirements of various media channels.
  • Oversee the development and management of press materials for all technology and product initiatives in the U.S., including press kits, photography, product details, and content for the Audi Press Website.
  • Lead the organization of domestic technology/product/motorsport press events while participating in international functions to unveil new and updated products to the media, including tech, automotive, and general interest outlets.
  • Support the communication of advancements in Audi products and technologies and represent the Audi brand as a spokesperson when necessary.
  • Create key presentations as required.
  • Generate ideas for technical symposiums that offer North American journalists firsthand insights into Audi’s advancements in areas such as piloted driving, connected car technology, lightweight construction, and MMI systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Managers and technology engineers/partners to leverage their expertise in narrative development.
  • Work alongside Public Relations and Event agencies to maximize media impact.
  • Manage demonstrations of products or technologies and serve as the company’s representative with media and technology partners.
  • Collaborate within the Brand Marketing & Communications team to ensure optimal media coverage.
  • Comprehend and apply knowledge of Communication KPIs and their driving factors.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of press events both internationally and domestically as needed.
  • Enhance the visibility of Audi spokespeople and personalities within the media landscape.

Qualifications:
Years of Relevant Experience:

  • 7-10 years in a related field.

Education – Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Education – Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or Engineering.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities; adept in logical reasoning, creativity, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication skills encompassing interpersonal relations, presentations, and written work.
