Job description:

Starting at $19.00 per hour, with night shifts from 6:40 AM to 7:00 PM, this role entails a commitment to 12-hour shifts. We are proud to offer a sign-on bonus of $1,000, which will be distributed as follows: $500 after 90 days of employment and an additional $500 after 180 days.

Summary
Owens Corning is seeking dedicated Production Operators and Machine Operators with a strong manufacturing background to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. The primary responsibility of this position is to understand, manage, and operate all aspects of the End of Line process safely and efficiently.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform board inspections and accurately measure objects using standard measuring tools, such as a tape measure and a six-inch scale.
• Operate the unit wrapper and carry out all associated tasks.
• Manage board grinders and prepare and feed scrap products.
• Operate compactor equipment and perform related tasks.
• Properly set up and operate cutting machines.
• Operate printer equipment and barcode machines.
• Operate a tow motor and obtain the necessary license.

Additional Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement the production schedule effectively.
• Adhere to all plant rules and regulations.
• Comply with safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure regular attendance and uphold a good attendance record.
• Exhibit a collaborative team spirit.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.

Preferred Experience

• Background in a manufacturing environment as a Production Worker, Associate, or Laborer, as well as experience as a Grinder, Assembler, or Production Equipment Operator.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to accurately read measuring tools and work overtime as necessary.

Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. without assistance.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures for up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to walk or stand on a concrete floor for extended periods.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Utilize cleaning tools as necessary for maintaining a tidy work environment.

Job Type

• Full-time with expected hours of no less than 19.00 per week.
