Position Overview
The Production Line Worker reports directly to the Shift Manager and shares responsibility for accurately weighing raw materials for production and/or packaging finished goods into containers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating a forklift (pending formal training).
- Conduct inspections of finished good pouches for damage or foreign materials prior to containerization.
- Verify the lot numbers of raw materials before weighing them and adding them to the batch ticket.
- Acquire knowledge in various aspects of the Staging and Packaging areas within the facility.
- Comply with all work instructions and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mathematical, reading, communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and twisting.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and, occasionally, over 100 pounds with assistance.
Compensation for this role is based on various factors, including education, work experience, certifications, and geographical location. The salary for this position is $18.65 per hour.
