Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, this role will assist in the administration of the UC Real Estate Center, which entails planning, budgeting, and implementing programs for the Center. There will also be supervisory responsibilities over the student worker assigned to the Real Estate Center. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days working from home) for candidates residing in the OH/IN/KY tri-state area after an initial 90-day training period. Employees must be located within a reasonable distance from the UC Main Campus to ensure a prompt response for on-campus requirements. Remote work arrangements may be subject to modifications in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Plan, budget, design, and coordinate monthly Roundtable Events from September through May, as well as the Real Estate Center Annual Dinner in June. This includes liaising with event venues, food and beverage providers, speakers, and managing travel arrangements.
- Schedule and support meetings of the BEARE Board, the BEARE Executive Board, and the REEAC Board as necessary, assisting in agenda preparation. Participate in these meetings to ensure accurate record-keeping and track follow-up items.
- Aid in the preparation of annual unit operating budget recommendations, exercising limited signature authority for purchases and payroll.
- Prepare reports, disseminate and interpret information, draft contractual agreements, and ensure that all programs and services adhere to university, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the UC Real Estate Association (UCREA), a student-led group, to coordinate their events.
- Manage financial transactions and expense reports while tracking monthly expenses and year-end financial outcomes.
- Engage with existing members and partners of the Center, managing membership and sponsorship contributions.
- Collaborate with various departments within the Lindner College of Business, including Business Affairs, the Foundation, and MarCom.
- Coordinate in detail with organizations such as Cincinnati ULI, CREW, NAIOP, and PNC Bank for joint events, including the PNC Economic Outlook.
- Develop a comprehensive photo repository for the Real Estate Center, ensuring all events are documented and photographs are organized for future marketing needs.
- Manage procurement and purchasing responsibilities for the Center.
- Oversee the marketing and social media strategies for the Center.
- Supervise department student workers, which includes hiring, orienting, training, mentoring, and evaluating assigned personnel; monitor and coordinate onboarding training programs relevant to the student worker role.
- Undertake additional duties as required by departmental needs.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
