Job description:

NBCUniversal’s Advertising Platforms & Operations team is responsible for the product development, project management, and daily operations of NBCUniversal’s comprehensive advertising technology suite, supporting an annual advertising business valued at $8 billion.

The Programmatic Ad Operations team within Business Operations & Services is a dynamic and collaborative group dedicated to executing programmatic guaranteed and private marketplace deals on both domestic and global scales. We are currently seeking a Programmatic Manager to bolster our indirect demand sales team.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative individual with a passion for media and advertising innovation, an understanding of customer needs, and a commitment to enhancing user experience.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Programmatic Sales Operations, the individual in this role will be accountable for:

  • Overseeing daily team management, including the onboarding and development of direct reports
  • Clearly communicating technical issues, particularly deal escalations, in a manner accessible to a non-technical audience
  • Providing training on troubleshooting programmatic deal delivery issues, creative specifications, and nuances associated with ad servers, DSPs, and tag vendors to Sales and Sales Operations teams as required
  • Developing strategic relationships with business partners and vendors
  • Managing the Indirect Demand Business and supervising the Indirect Demand Campaign Manager
  • Establishing and enhancing workflows and processes, as well as setting goals for measuring and improving product quality, conformity, scalability, and sustainability
  • Contributing to leadership meetings and strategic planning efforts for the Sales Operations organization

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital Ad Operations
  • At least 1 year of experience within the Programmatic field, with a solid understanding of the Programmatic landscape
  • Knowledge of the Indirect Demand ecosystem
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Familiarity with work management and documentation tools, preferably Jira and Confluence
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively using technical language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with FreeWheel and Magnite SSP
  • Previous experience collaborating directly with DSP and/or SSP partners
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for documentation and detail-oriented work
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience in a large-scale media company, particularly in support of Advertising Sales

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States
  • A desire to work within the entertainment media industry, with availability during weekends if supporting a live event
  • Must be 18 years or older

Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 (bonus eligible)
