Job description:
HealthCare Support is currently seeking a Remote Provider Service Advocate to join a prestigious Fortune 25 Managed Care Company based in Ohio.

Daily Responsibilities for the Remote Provider Service Advocate include:

– Work schedule: Monday to Friday (overtime may be required as needed).
– Training will occur from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; post-training, the work shift will be 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
– Handle incoming healthcare contact center calls from health plan providers and appropriately route them to clinical staff.
– Gather and verify demographic information, documenting calls accurately using standard computer software and systems.
– Utilize problem-solving skills and tools to identify immediate needs of callers, including assessing potential crisis situations, and escalate crisis calls in accordance with standard operating procedures.
– Employ effective verbal communication strategies to elicit necessary information, build trust with callers, and provide reassurance.
– Make inbound and outbound calls in compliance with department policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications for the Remote Provider Service Advocate:

– Applicants must be located in Ohio.
– Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience is required.
– Experience with Medicaid is essential.
– At least 1 year of experience in Managed Care or provider billing (excluding roles such as schedulers or front office staff).
– Availability for full-time training without time off within the first 90 days is crucial.
