Your role will involve:

– Delivering exceptional customer service, characterized by professionalism, responsiveness, and a courteous approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
– Familiarizing yourself with the contractual requirements related to your specific program or service, encompassing documentation and payer guidelines.
– Advocating for recovery principles, encouraging staff and personnel to foster an environment that enables individuals to realize their potential.
– Conducting thorough psychiatric assessments to establish diagnoses, develop planning that includes medical necessity, and manage monitoring and discharge processes.
– Evaluating concurrent medical conditions and addressing co-occurring substance use disorders.
– Prescribing and administering medications while obtaining informed consents.
– Providing medical consultations and making referrals as necessary.
– Overseeing diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring consistency in monitoring and discharge.
– Administering and interpreting AIMS testing.
– Conducting medication reviews as part of ongoing treatment.
– Engaging with clients to monitor their overall well-being.
– Documenting all encounters with served individuals promptly and comprehensively, ensuring medical necessity for the current level of care is clearly supported.
– Ensuring that all training and credentialing requirements are up-to-date, renewing them prior to their expiration.
– Participating in the Prescriber Peer Review process, attending semi-annual medical staff meetings, and engaging in quality improvement activities.
– Upholding high standards of health and safety within physical facilities and corporate vehicles.
– Assisting clients in completing necessary documentation for entitlement benefits and other assistance.

Anticipated Work Schedule:

– Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM
– Coverage for one holiday per year

Job Requirements:

– Possession of a valid State of Michigan Physician’s License (MD or DO) and a DEA number
– Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry or Child Psychiatry (when working with children and adolescents)
– Active maintenance of professional licensure, free from suspension or revocation throughout employment
– A valid driver’s license with a driving record that complies with Hope Network’s policies and standards, as driving of personal or company vehicles will be required for work-related activities
