Job description:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for two key functions: production auditing and receiving inspection. The role of production auditing involves continuous monitoring of production processes to ensure product conformance, including first-off approvals. The receiving inspection component requires the technician to verify the conformance of materials supplied from external sources, which includes managing the disposition of rejected materials and performing necessary computer transactions for inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities for All QA Technicians:

  • Engage with internal customers effectively.
  • Meet established quality and productivity levels in assigned tasks, while adhering to housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Generate necessary reports and ensure the accuracy of all documentation.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14000 standards.
  • Contribute to the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Specific Responsibilities for QA Technicians Assigned to Production Auditing:

  • Conduct first-off inspections for setup approval, material changes, color approvals, and die changes.
  • Use gauges to measure parts according to inspection instructions.
  • Document inspection results and material dispositions accurately.
  • Identify materials for appropriate disposition, such as "OK to use," "Hold," or "Rejected."
  • Audit compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure consistent product conformance.
