Purpose:
Candidates must successfully complete a hair-follicle drug screen.
Base Hourly Rate: $21+ Depending on Experience

• Eligible for Weekly Production Bonuses
• Eligible for Overtime
• Eligible for Profit Sharing (5-year average + 20.43%)

Key Responsibilities:

• Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.
• Adhere to Nucor’s safety programs and standards.
• Exhibit conduct that is consistent with Nucor’s vision and values.
• Unload trailers and store materials in designated storage areas.
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths.
• Operate a bending machine to shape reinforcing steel bars as required.
• Utilize an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipment.
• Operate a Fabmatic machine for cutting and bending reinforcing steel bars to precise specifications.
• Assemble and load customer orders onto trailers for distribution.
• Use a power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to the required lengths.
• Operate a spray gun for the application of epoxy touch-up on reinforcing steel bars.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the shop or designated area.
• Assist colleagues with the aforementioned tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Special Demands:
