Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

– Operate electric pallet jacks or forklifts to accurately and safely select orders across various warehouse temperature environments.
– Properly stack products on pallets following established operating procedures.
– Stage pallets for loading at designated outbound dock locations.
– Maintain required selection rates within different temperature zones.
– Secure loads for transit through shrink-wrapping, either manually or with a machine.
– Conduct daily safety inspections of material handling equipment.
– Safely operate all necessary equipment for job functions.
– Adhere to appropriate lifting techniques and safety standards.
– Uphold company expectations related to safety, attendance, and conduct.
– Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
– Attend all mandatory company meetings.
– Comply with NDCP’s Good Distribution Practices.
– Assist in maintaining an orderly warehouse through general housekeeping.
– Cross-train in various functions and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:

– Capability to work in diverse warehouse temperature environments: dry (ambient), cooler (34 degrees), and freezer (-10 degrees).
– Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
– Proficiency in operating shrink-wrap machines and performing manual shrink-wrapping.
– Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, high lift).
– Flexibility in scheduling, including potential weekends and holidays.
– A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
– A strong desire to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
– Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures; knowledge of food handling regulations is preferred.
– Previous experience with electric pallet jacks and proficiency in voice picking, Vocollect, forklift operation, and RF guns is encouraged.
