What We Are Looking For:

We seek a friendly, tech-savvy, organized individual with exceptional multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a busy and dynamic environment. As a Receptionist and the first point of contact for our customers, it is essential that you create an outstanding experience from the moment they enter our store. Responsibilities include checking in new and returning patients in compliance with state and CRA regulations, establishing patient profiles, and assisting as needed. Successful candidates will undergo mandatory training through our innovative JARS University, conducted both virtually and in-person at our mock-store training facility to ensure comprehensive knowledge of JARS’ policies, procedures, and company culture.

Job Duties:

• Verify customer age requirements, register new customers in the POS system, and scan in returning customers.
• Check customer purchasing allotments through the POS system upon check-in.
• Promote the JARS brand and excite customers about shopping at our location.
• Welcome guests and customers with a positive, upbeat, and friendly demeanor.
• Utilize proper greetings and salutations at all times.
• Assist with curbside and online orders as necessary.
• Answer calls with professionalism and proper phone etiquette.
• Provide customers with information about products, store hours, location, daily specials, website address, and more.
• Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program, campaigns, events, and daily communications.
• Arrive for each scheduled shift punctually and in appropriate attire.
• Communicate order updates to budtenders.
• Create personable and memorable experiences for all store patrons.
• Maintain compliance with Michigan and CRA regulations.
• Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks while ensuring the upkeep of the reception area.
• Support store management in an administrative capacity as required.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, compliance, and protocols at all times.
• Monitor customer queues continuously.
• Keep all online and paper menus updated with daily offerings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment.
• At least one year of previous administrative and/or front desk receptionist experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.

Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands:

• The role requires standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
• Work is generally performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary setting.
• Involves frequent contact with patients and staff.
• Availability to work varied hours/days, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
