What We Are Looking For:
We seek an individual who is friendly, tech-savvy, organized, adept at multitasking, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. As a Receptionist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring that their experience from the moment they enter the store is exceptional. Responsibilities include checking in both new and existing patients in compliance with state and CRA regulations, creating patient profiles, and offering general assistance as needed. The successful candidate will also undergo mandatory training at our innovative JARS University, which includes both virtual and in-person sessions to ensure comprehensive understanding of JARS’ policies, procedures, and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify customers’ legal age requirements, register new customers in the POS system, and process returning customers.
- Check customer purchasing limits through the POS system at check-in.
- Promote the JARS brand and stimulate customer excitement about shopping at our location.
- Welcome guests and customers with a positive, upbeat, and friendly demeanor.
- Communicate appropriate greetings and salutations to all customers consistently.
- Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
- Answer incoming calls with professionalism and proper phone etiquette.
- Provide customers with information regarding products, store hours, location, daily specials, website details, and more.
- Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program and communicate campaigns, events, daily texts, etc.
- Arrive on time and presentable for each scheduled shift.
- Communicate updates to budtenders regarding order completion.
- Create personable and memorable experiences for all patrons.
- Ensure compliance with Michigan & CRA regulations at all times.
- Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, along with maintaining the reception area.
- Support store management administratively as required.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, compliance, and protocols at all times.
- Monitor customer queues consistently.
- Keep all online and paper menus updated with daily offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, or hospitality environment.
- At least 1 year of previous administrative and/or Front Desk Receptionist experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and follow-up abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands:
- Position involves standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment is necessary.
- Work is generally performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary.
- Frequent contact with patients and staff is expected.
- Availability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional events is required.
