What We Are Looking For:
We are in search of a friendly, tech-savvy, and organized individual who excels in multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, making it essential to create a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities include checking in new and existing patients per state and CRA regulations, creating patient profiles, and providing general assistance where needed. The successful candidate will also complete mandatory training through our innovative JARS University, which includes both virtual and in-person instruction at our mock-store training facility, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of JARS’ policies and company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify customers’ legal age, register new customers in the POS system, and scan returning customers.
- Check customer purchasing limits via the POS system at check-in.
- Promote the JARS brand and engage customers in an enthusiastic shopping experience.
- Welcome guests and customers into the store with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Utilize proper greetings and salutations for all customers consistently.
- Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism and appropriate etiquette.
- Provide customers with information regarding products, store hours, location, daily specials, website, and more.
- Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program and related campaigns and events.
- Arrive promptly and presentable for each scheduled shift.
- Communicate with budtenders regarding order completion updates.
- Create personalized and memorable experiences for all store patrons.
- Maintain compliance with Michigan and CRA regulations at all times.
- Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks as well as general upkeep of the reception area.
- Support store management with administrative tasks as required.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, compliance, and protocols unobtrusively.
- Monitor customer queues consistently.
- Ensure online and paper menus are current with daily offerings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, or hospitality environment.
- At least 1 year of prior administrative and/or Front Desk Receptionist experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Requires a degree of standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Capability to operate a computer, POS system, and digital office equipment.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary setting.
- Frequent interaction with patients and staff.
- Variable hours required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional special events.
