What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a friendly, tech-savvy, and organized individual proficient in multitasking to serve as our Receptionist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, and your ability to create an exceptional and welcoming environment from the moment they enter is crucial. The Receptionist will be responsible for checking in both new and existing patients in accordance with state and CRA requirements, creating patient profiles, and providing assistance where needed.

Job Duties:

  • Verify customer legal age requirements, register new customers in the POS system, and scan returning customers.
  • Check customer purchasing allotments through the POS system upon check-in.
  • Promote the JARS brand and engage customers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Welcome guests and customers into the store with a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Utilize appropriate greetings and salutations for all customers at all times.
  • Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
  • Answer phone calls using professional etiquette.
  • Provide customers with information regarding products, store hours, location, daily specials, website details, and more.
  • Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program, special campaigns, events, and daily communications.
  • Arrive punctually for each scheduled shift, maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Communicate order completion updates to budtenders.
  • Create personable and memorable experiences for all patrons.
  • Ensure compliance with Michigan regulations and CRA standards at all times.
  • Perform opening, midday, and closing tasks, including general upkeep of the reception area.
  • Support store management with administrative tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and compliance protocols.
  • Monitor customer queues consistently.
  • Keep all online and paper menus updated with daily offerings.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience in retail, sales, and/or hospitality.
  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative and/or front desk receptionist experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) is required.

Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and stretch as necessary.
  • Proficient in operating a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary environment.
  • Frequent contact with patients and staff.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or special events.
