What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a friendly, tech-savvy, and organized Receptionist who excels at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact for our customers, your ability to enhance their experience from the moment they enter is crucial. The Receptionist will be responsible for checking in both new and existing patients in compliance with state regulations and creating patient profiles while providing assistance wherever necessary. The successful candidate will also participate in our innovative JARS University training program, which is conducted both virtually and in-person at our mock-store training facility, ensuring that our staff is well-versed in JARS policies, procedures, and company culture.

Job Duties:

  • Verify customer age, register new customers in the POS system, and scan returning customers.
  • Check customer purchasing allowances through the POS system upon check-in.
  • Promote the JARS brand and generate excitement about shopping at our location.
  • Greet guests and customers warmly, maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Use appropriate greetings and salutations for all customers at all times.
  • Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
  • Answer phone calls with professional etiquette.
  • Provide customers with information about products, store hours, daily specials, and more.
  • Emphasize the JARS Loyalty Program and related promotions.
  • Arrive punctually and presentably for all scheduled shifts.
  • Communicate order completion updates to budtenders.
  • Create memorable experiences for all store patrons.
  • Ensure compliance with Michigan regulations and CRA standards at all times.
  • Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, along with maintaining the reception area’s cleanliness.
  • Support store management with administrative tasks as required.
  • Adhere consistently to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and protocols.
  • Monitor customer queues at all times.
  • Keep all online and paper menus updated with daily offerings.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in retail, sales, or hospitality.
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in an administrative or front desk role.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.

Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands:

  • Position requires some standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment is essential.
  • Work is generally conducted in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary.
  • Regular interaction with patients and staff.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as necessary.
