What We Are Looking For:

We seek an individual who embodies friendliness, tech-savviness, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, making it essential to create a positive and memorable experience from the moment they enter our establishment. The role involves checking in new and existing patients in compliance with state and CRA requirements, creating patient profiles, and providing assistance wherever needed. The ideal candidate will undergo mandatory training through our innovative JARS University, combining virtual and in-person sessions at our mock-store training facility to ensure comprehensive understanding of our policies, procedures, and company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify customer eligibility and register new customers in the POS system, while efficiently managing returning customer check-ins.
  • Check customer purchasing limits via POS system at check-in.
  • Promote the JARS brand enthusiastically and create excitement around our offerings.
  • Greet guests and customers with a friendly and upbeat demeanor at all times.
  • Utilize proper greetings and salutations consistently.
  • Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
  • Manage phone inquiries with professionalism and appropriate etiquette.
  • Furnish customers with product information, store hours and location, daily specials, the website address, and more.
  • Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program and various campaigns, events, and promotions.
  • Ensure timely and presentable attendance at each scheduled shift.
  • Communicate order completion updates to budtenders.
  • Create personable and memorable experiences for all patrons.
  • Adhere to all Michigan & CRA compliance regulations at all times.
  • Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, maintaining the reception area’s general upkeep.
  • Support store management in an administrative capacity as required.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and protocols at all times.
  • Monitor customer queues consistently.
  • Maintain all online and physical menus to reflect daily offerings.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, or hospitality environment.
  • At least 1 year of previous administrative and/or Front Desk Receptionist experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A cooperative team player.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • The position requires some standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Work is typically performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary setting.
  • Frequent interaction with patients and team members.
  • Availability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional special events.
