Position Overview
As a member of the Oncology Sales team, the Regional Oncology Specialist II (ROSII) will devise and execute a strategy to optimize the use of Exact Sciences’ products within designated accounts, ensuring adherence to budget constraints while supporting corporate objectives and effectively communicating key selling messages. The product portfolio includes OncoExTra, OncoDetect (MRD), and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing). The ROSII will prioritize exceptional service, striving to position Exact Sciences as a best-in-class assay provider. This role demands the ability to navigate complex challenges in a dynamic environment, emphasizing relationship-building, clinical and scientific acumen, and strategic insights into key stakeholders within a competitive market. A deep understanding of territory-specific clinical and political issues is essential, and the ROSII is expected to invest the necessary time to fulfill the objectives set forth in the sales plan.

The ROSII will relay crucial information to support Exact Sciences’ mission across all relevant parties involved in product sales, providing direct feedback to ensure accurate decision-making across national, regional, and area teams. Collaboration with managed care, reimbursement entities, patient support groups, advocacy organizations, and healthcare providers will be vital to securing product access.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

– Consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets within a defined territory through proactive field engagement with healthcare providers and their teams.
– Promoting company products, expanding new client accounts, and deepening existing relationships.
– Excelling in territory management, strategic planning, and execution.
– Formulating and implementing actionable plans that enhance product utilization in key accounts while remaining budget-conscious and aligning with corporate objectives.
– Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of territory-specific clinical and political dynamics to drive growth.
– Leveraging in-depth knowledge of relevant scientific fields, competitive landscapes, and industry trends to advance business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience (4 years) in lieu of a degree.
– A minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a demonstrable track record of success in selling or promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics, or similarly complex healthcare products.
– At least 1 year of experience in oncology sales, either in chemotherapy/immunotherapy or diagnostics.
– Proven clinical and scientific expertise.
– Demonstrated capability to succeed within a competitive sales environment.
– Strong territory or account management skills, coupled with an understanding of market trends and competitor dynamics affecting product adoption.
– Valid driver’s license, free from any suspended, revoked, surrendered, or invalid status.
– No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents in the last 36 months.
– Absence of any alcohol or drug-related violations involving a vehicle in the past 36 months.
– Capability to fulfill the essential duties of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
– Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

-clinical experience and oncology sales background, particularly in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or diagnostics.
– Established relationships within oncology accounts in the designated territory.
– Experience in engaging with surgeons and cancer centers.
– Familiarity with NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and/or hereditary cancer testing.

Salary Range: $124,000.00 – $186,000.00
This annual base salary reflects a full-time position based in Detroit, MI, and may vary based on location. Additionally, this role is eligible for bonuses and annual equity opportunities.
