In the role of Regional Oncology Specialist II (ROSII) on the Oncology Sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to optimize the utilization of Exact Sciences’ products within designated accounts. This role requires adherence to budgetary constraints while supporting corporate objectives and effectively communicating key selling messages. Your focus will encompass products such as OncoExTra, OncoDetect (MRD), and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing). The ROSII will aim to provide best-in-class service as an assay provider, creating balanced solutions to complex challenges in a dynamic healthcare environment. Building and nurturing customer relationships will be essential, as will leveraging clinical and scientific knowledge, stakeholder insights, and effective selling techniques within a competitive market landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

– Achieving or exceeding sales targets within a designated territory through regular engagement with healthcare providers and their teams.
– Strategically developing new accounts and deepening existing client relationships.
– Demonstrating exceptional territory management, strategic planning, and execution abilities.
– Crafting and implementing action-oriented tactical plans to maximize product utilization while ensuring budget adherence and alignment with corporate objectives, all while delivering superior customer service.
– Maintaining a thorough understanding of clinical and political issues relevant to your territory to effectively navigate the sales landscape.
– Driving growth through comprehensive knowledge of scientific aspects and relevant disease states, understanding competitive dynamics, and external factors influencing our business.
– Completing all necessary training programs and achieving proficiency in genomic testing and Exact Sciences’ Precision Oncology products.
– Dedicating time to gain expertise in all disease states associated with Exact Sciences’ offerings and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of competing products, ultimately driving targeted actions within physician networks.
– Upholding a commitment to excellence and engaging in continual self-assessment and growth.
– Participating in sales meetings and professional conferences as required across the U.S.
– Cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders in oncology and pathology within your territory.
– Communicating effectively and maintaining open channels with internal colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications required for this position include:

– A Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field, or a minimum of four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
– A minimum of five years of demonstrated sales success, specifically in the promotion of complex medical oncology and/or diagnostic products or similar healthcare solutions.
– At least one year of experience directly related to oncology, focusing on the sale of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or diagnostic products.
– Proven clinical and scientific expertise, with a strong track record of effective selling in competitive marketplaces.
– Exceptional territory or account management skills.
– A solid understanding of competitive landscape and market trends affecting product utilization.
– Possession of a valid driver’s license with no history of major violations or issues that could pose a liability risk.
– Proven ability to fulfill the essential duties of the role, with or without accommodation.
– Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications:

– Clinical experience within oncology.
– Established relationships within oncology accounts.
– Experience in sales targeting surgeons and cancer centers.
– Familiarity with advanced sequencing technologies, minimal residual disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and hereditary cancer testing.

Salary Range: $124,000.00 – $186,000.00. This indicative base salary is intended for a full-time role located in MI – Detroit and may differ based on hiring location. This position is bonus eligible and qualifies for company stock as part of our compensation package.
