Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and managing nursing care, services, and health education for nursing home residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the care and services provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members.
- Administering safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
- Assessing residents’ health status and promptly notifying physicians of any changes; implementing new orders as necessary.
- Developing individualized care plans based on assessments and executing the required nursing care.
- Selecting and implementing appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize residents’ conditions and prevent complications.
- Contributing to resident assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of personalized care plans.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
