Job description:

1st Shift: 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM – Full and Part-Time Availability
2nd Shift: 1:45 PM – 10:15 PM – Full and Part-Time Availability
3rd Shift: 9:45 PM – 6:15 AM – Full and Part-Time Availability
Hourly Rate: $15.50 – $18.25

We are seeking a compassionate caregiver to become a vital part of our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to offer various levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that residents’ daily care and service needs are met, including all essential activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, hygiene, toileting assistance, dressing, eating, socialization, and participation in activities).
  • Facilitate residents’ participation in Life Enrichment Events, which may include leading activities, assisting the Life Enrichment Coordinator, or helping residents attend events.
  • Adhere to each resident’s service plan regarding the necessary level of assistance and support.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions and needs as they arise.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including bed making, linen changes, cleaning, waste removal, and laundry.
  • Utilize safe and appropriate techniques for handling cleaning chemicals and ensure proper storage of products, tools, and equipment.
  • Report any unusual incidents and respond promptly and responsibly in emergency situations.
  • Maintain proper hygiene practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to ensure the objectives of our living center are achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting with a desire to improve and learn continuously.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • A minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or an in-home care environment.
  • Willingness to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Supportive and compassionate approach to care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience as a caregiver preferred.
  • Pride in delivering high-quality care.
  • Hoyer Lift experience (as applicable to clients).
