Job description:

Homestead Health Care is currently in search of compassionate and experienced Caregivers to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living while also providing companionship and emotional support. We are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for helping others, strong communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications as per physicians’ orders.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Prior experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Must possess reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and consistently arrive on time for shifts.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position consisting of 8-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Pay:
