Job description:

Homestead Health Care is actively seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living while providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and build authentic relationships with seniors. Experience in medication administration is required, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications according to physician directives.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.

  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • A valid Driver’s license or ID is required.

Schedule:
