Job description:
Homestead Health Care is in search of dedicated and compassionate Resident Aides to provide exceptional care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will play a vital role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living and will also offer companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, possess outstanding communication skills, and develop meaningful relationships with seniors.

Please note that while no licenses or certifications are required, we are looking for candidates with experience in medication administration who are comfortable working independently. We are hiring immediately!

Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
– Maintain a clean environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
– Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
– Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
– Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
– Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
– Prior experience working with the elderly population is preferred.
– Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
– Reliable transportation is a must.
– Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID.
– Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with Resident Aides scheduled to work 8-hour shifts, including a requirement to work every other weekend.

Compensation:
