Job description:
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Homestead Health Care is currently seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care for our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will play a vital role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living while also offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

This position does not require any licenses or certifications, and we are hiring immediately! Candidates must have experience in administering medications and should be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
– Maintain cleanliness in the environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
– Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor promptly.
– Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
– Adhere to all safety and health standards, including following infection control procedures.
– Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– High school diploma or GED is required.
– Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
– Experience working with the elderly population.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
– Reliable transportation is essential.
– Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and arrive on time for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position. Resident Aides will be scheduled for 8-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
