Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide high-quality care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

(No Licenses or Certifications required) – We are hiring immediately! Experience in administering medications is required, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
– Maintain cleanliness in the environment, which may involve light housekeeping.
– Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor.
– Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
– Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years old.
– High school diploma or GED is required.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Experience working with elderly individuals.
– Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
– Reliable transportation required.
– Valid driver’s license or ID necessary.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position. Resident Aides will be scheduled for 8-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
