Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Resident Aides to deliver quality care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will play a critical role in assisting residents with their daily living activities while offering companionship and emotional support. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others, possess strong communication skills, and can cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

(No Licenses or Certifications required) – We are hiring immediately! Candidates must have experience in medication administration and comfort working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid driver’s license or identification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with punctuality for all scheduled shifts.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with Resident Aides scheduled for 8-hour shifts, including a requirement to work every other weekend.

Pay:
Starting hourly pay is $16.00, with opportunities for advancement.
