Part Time
Midnight Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

The Gilbert Residence is dedicated to providing excellent care to our residents, offering basic nursing care to 32 residents, as well as supportive living, assisted living, and specialized dementia care to an additional 58 residents. We pride ourselves on our long-standing tradition of delivering compassionate and dignified care.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for delivering fundamental resident care under the supervision of a Med-Tech. This role includes assisting residents with activities of daily living and maintaining the cleanliness of the assisted living unit, with a focus on promoting residents’ independence and enhancing their social interactions.

Duties:

• Assist residents with bathing, toileting, and grooming.
• Provide support to residents utilizing walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
• Measure and record intake and output.
• Perform range of motion exercises.
• Adhere to standard precautions and implement special isolation techniques as required.
• Report any changes in resident conditions or pertinent information to the supervisor.
• Promote resident safety and uphold their rights.
• Employ effective communication techniques with residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Participate in training activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and comprehend instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Availability to work every other weekend is essential.
