Part-Time Midnight Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

The Gilbert Residence is dedicated to providing essential nursing care to 32 residents, alongside Supportive Living, Assisted Living, and Specialized Dementia care for an additional 58 residents. Our commitment to compassionate and dignified care reflects our long-standing tradition of excellence.

As a Resident Assistant, you will deliver fundamental care to residents under the supervision of a Med-Tech. Your role will encompass assisting residents with their activities of daily living while also contributing to the housekeeping efforts within the assisted living unit. The primary goal is to restore and maintain each resident’s optimal level of independence, particularly concerning daily activities and social interactions.

Duties:

  • Assist residents with bathing, toileting, and grooming needs.
  • Aid residents in the safe use of walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
  • Monitor and document resident intake and output.
  • Implement range of motion exercises for residents.
  • Adhere to standard precautions and employ special isolation techniques as necessary.
  • Report any notable changes in residents’ conditions or relay important information to your supervisor.
  • Advocate for resident safety and uphold their rights.
  • Utilize effective communication methods with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Engage in training and development activities.
  • Perform charting responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Reliability and a commitment to consistent attendance, including availability every other weekend.
