Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Sterling Heights is seeking a dedicated part-time Resident Caregiver. The Resident Caregiver plays a vital role in supporting residents with various aspects of daily living as outlined in their individual service plans. This encompasses personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, and addressing their orientation and informational needs. The position demands a high degree of tact, sensitivity, and professionalism, as the caregiver will engage regularly with residents and their families to ensure their satisfaction.

Job Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village)
- Skills: Proficiency in basic reading and writing skills, with the ability to communicate in English in a clear and understandable manner
- Years of Experience: Prior knowledge and experience in working with the elderly is essential; experience with dementia care is highly desirable
- License: Not applicable
- Certification: Must possess certification as mandated by state regulations; successful completion of the required training for Springhouse/Arden Courts is necessary
Physical Demands: The ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods is required. The role includes frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as the full use of hands, arms, and legs for tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning. Competence in reading thermometers, charts, and any relevant testing equipment, along with operating clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances (specific to Arden Courts/Linden Village), is also necessary. Candidates should be in good physical and mental health.
