Position Summary
- Housekeeping: Execute a range of housekeeping and cleaning tasks, including dusting, damp mopping floors, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning patient room furniture. Responsible for timely removal and disposal of trash and other related duties as assigned.
- Safety: Use protective gear as required. Ensure safe mixing and application of cleaning solutions, report needs or malfunctions to supervisors, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Strictly follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain sanitation at all times.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality, ensuring that assigned cleaning areas are completed in a timely manner. Responsively engage with the paging system as needed.
- Customer Experience: Reflect HCSG’s values through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Foster positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- Following appropriate training, demonstrate leadership skills and complete responsibilities independently, ensuring safety for oneself and others.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Consistent reliability and punctuality in attendance are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, or client requirements.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds and push/pull similar weight. Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must continuously perform routine, repetitive tasks.
- Capability to work in proximity to food and cleaning products is required.
- Residents in the service area are preferred.
