As a Restaurant Shift Leader, you will be joining a beloved neighborhood sandwich concept that has been delighting customers with warm, toasty sandwiches, hearty soups, signature salads, hand-dipped shakes, fresh cookies, and a variety of other customizable menu offerings for over 45 years. General Description
The role of a Shift Leader is to exemplify and uphold the Company’s values. This position involves leading a shift by effectively managing and developing team members to deliver exceptional product quality and customer service, while optimizing sales and controlling costs. The Shift Leader is expected to adhere to standard operating policies and procedures across several essential focus areas, which include:

People

  • Lead and motivate associates during shifts, including task assignments (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), while providing constructive feedback and training.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to relevant personnel policies, labor laws, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all security procedures are rigorously followed (e.g., safe procedures, opening and closing protocols).
  • Transition smoothly between opening and closing responsibilities.

Customers

  • Strive to create memorable experiences for customers.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  • Empower associates to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.
  • Implement and uphold all food safety requirements and practices.

Sales

  • Guide associates in opening, transitioning, and closing shifts autonomously.
  • Organize and manage the line, delegating responsibilities to team members as needed.
  • Maintain and advocate for high standards of product quality.
  • Actively participate in line duties as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with back-of-the-house procedural standards.
