We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for customer service roles, where Sales Associates provide exceptional attention to customers by explaining, demonstrating, and selling a variety of woodworking tools and supplies. When not interacting with customers, Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining the sales floor, which includes tasks such as facing merchandise, dusting, and general housekeeping. We are currently hiring for both Sales Associate and Key Holder positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage with customers as they enter the store.
  • Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Address woodworking-related inquiries and possess a solid understanding of various tools and equipment.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
  • Suggest optimal products to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store through regular cleaning and restocking.

Key Holder Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the store as directed by the store manager, along with additional management tasks such as receiving, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Operate cash registers and manage payment processing.
  • Handle customer refunds and overrides while preparing necessary documentation in accordance with store procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management, including unloading trucks, pricing, and merchandising, as well as other assigned duties.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • A passion for helping others learn and grow within the woodworking community, along with an enthusiasm for all aspects of woodworking.
  • A proactive, energetic demeanor, paired with strong listening and communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • The capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. while safely participating in team lifting.
  • A commitment to building relationships and networking with customers.
  • Flexibility to work a 5-day retail schedule (Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for part-time roles), including designated holidays.
  • Previous sales experience in a retail environment is advantageous, but not required.
