If you have an interest or background in woodworking or DIY projects, this could be the ideal opportunity for you! This customer service role requires the Sales Associate to provide dedicated and attentive support to customers by explaining, demonstrating, and selling woodworking supplies and tools. In addition to engaging with customers, you will maintain the sales floor through activities such as facing, dusting, and general housekeeping. We are currently hiring for both Sales Associate and Key Holder positions.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Welcoming and engaging customers upon their arrival at the store.
– Assessing customer needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
– Answering woodworking-related inquiries and demonstrating a working knowledge of various tools and equipment.
– Operating cash registers and processing customer payments.
– Recommending the most suitable products to meet customer requirements.
– Continuously cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day.

Key Holder Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Opening and closing the store as directed by the store manager, alongside performing additional management tasks such as receiving, pricing, and merchandising.
– Operating cash registers and processing payments.
– Handling customer refunds and overrides, preparing necessary documentation following established procedures.
– Assisting with unloading trucks, pricing, merchandising, or any other assigned duties.

The ideal candidate must possess:

– Exceptional customer service skills.
– A passion for helping individuals learn and grow in the woodworking hobby or business and a general enjoyment of woodworking.
– An energetic demeanor, self-motivation, excellent listening capabilities, and strong communication skills; bilingualism is a plus.
– The physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and safely participate in team lifting.
– A desire to network and build relationships with customers.
– Flexibility to work a five-day retail schedule (Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for part-time), including designated holidays.
– Previous experience in retail sales is a plus but not a requirement.
