In this role, you will be responsible for implementing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates work efficiently and collaboratively as a team. You will facilitate an exceptional customer experience by engaging with every customer and maintaining a clean, organized store. Exemplary customer service will be your guiding principle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive experience for both internal and external customers.
- Promote a culture centered around honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
- Oversee truck deliveries, prioritizing the effective processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing standards.
- Ensure that merchandise is properly tagged, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure the smooth flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Direct Associates in completing tasks according to the store plan and adjust priorities as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as required.
- Organize and rotate back stock to facilitate easy replenishment.
- Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom area.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs when applicable.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with management to address Associate training needs for improved effectiveness.
- Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and engage in initiatives aimed at reducing store shrinkage.
- Encourage safety awareness and maintain a secure environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
