AutoZone is seeking Part-Time Retail Sales Associates to enhance sales through exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations, delivering a WOW! customer experience. In this role, you will assist customers while performing daily assigned tasks and adhering to company procedures in alignment with AutoZone’s standards, exemplifying our commitment to Living the Pledge each day.

Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service that embodies the WOW! experience
  • Complete assigned store tasks efficiently during your shift
  • Operate cash registers while adhering to established cash handling procedures
  • Comply with company policies and loss prevention measures
  • Ensure a safe working environment, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as directed
  • Restock merchandise and organize items in their designated areas
  • Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or identifying suitable alternatives
  • Stay informed on product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone systems and resources
  • Engage in GOTTChA practices and assist with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs
  • Use OBDII tools to read diagnostic codes from customers’ vehicles
  • Diagnose automotive issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Communicate effectively with managers regarding customer feedback and employee matters
  • Actively work on developing and enhancing customer service skills
  • Provide honest and reliable advice to customers about products that best meet their needs

Position Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts is essential
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities are required
  • Capability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
