Job description:

AutoZone’s Part-Time Retail Sales Associates drive sales through exceptional customer service by consistently exceeding customer expectations and delivering a WOW! Customer Service experience. In collaboration with customers, the Retail Sales Associate will complete daily assigned tasks and adhere to company policies in alignment with AutoZone’s standards by embodying the company’s Pledge each day.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service that exceeds expectations.
  • Complete assigned store tasks promptly during scheduled shifts.
  • Operate cash registers while adhering to established cash handling protocols.
  • Follow company policies and loss prevention measures diligently.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Uphold store appearance and merchandising standards as per directives.
  • Ensure merchandise is restocked and organized in their designated locations.
  • Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating products or identifying suitable alternatives.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone systems and information sources.
  • Engage in GOTTChA practices and assist with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs.
  • Utilize OBDII tools to read diagnostic codes from customers’ vehicles.
  • Diagnose automotive issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding customer concerns and employee matters.
  • Actively work on enhancing customer service skills.
  • Provide honest, trustworthy advice regarding products that best meet customer needs.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older with a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
