AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “Retail Sales Associate Part Time” in Chesterfield, MI, it’s essential to consider local living costs and industry standards. As of October 2023, part-time retail sales associates in Michigan typically earn between $12 and $17 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, specific retailer policies, and location within the state. If the offered rate falls within or above this range, it can be deemed competitive, particularly given Chesterfield’s cost of living and proximity to metropolitan areas. Comparatively, if the rate is significantly lower, it may not attract quality candidates or retain staff, especially in a market where many retailers are increasing wages to entice workers. Thus, assessing the specific rate in relation to these benchmarks will clarify its competitiveness.
