Your Role:
The Retail Store Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in embodying Blick’s commitment to our customers, the Arts, and our local communities through exemplary teamwork, boundless curiosity, and a strong sense of care. This position is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service by actively assisting customers and imparting valuable product knowledge that drives the achievement of sales goals. Additional responsibilities encompass point-of-sale operations, maintaining store cleanliness, merchandising, signing, pricing, loss prevention, and complying with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:
– Demonstrating a positive, energetic, and welcoming attitude in all customer interactions.
– Consistently providing exceptional customer service in alignment with the Blick Selling Cycle.
– Proactively greeting customers with enthusiasm, ensuring that artists of all skill levels feel welcomed in our stores.
– Identifying customer needs through engaging, open-ended questions.
– Recommending products tailored to customers’ needs and suggesting complementary items to enhance their projects.
– Informing customers about ongoing promotions and new product arrivals.
– Acting as an ambassador for Custom Services, educating customers on our framing, custom canvas, and printing offerings.
– Facilitating a seamless checkout experience, ensuring each customer leaves feeling valued and informed about our Preferred Program.
– Going above and beyond to meet customer needs.
– Utilizing our website to assist customers with product orders when necessary.
– Completing required training programs, including Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Custom Services Training, and Outreach Opportunities.
– Assisting with merchandise setups, demonstrating knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and maintaining store standards as directed by management.
– Balancing multiple tasks while providing customers with an outstanding experience, often with minimal supervision.
– Understanding and executing procedures for reporting low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management when necessary.
