Job description:

We are seeking dependable delivery drivers who prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure the safe and timely transport of goods. The primary responsibilities of the delivery driver include loading trucks, delivering items according to assigned routes and schedules, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Drivers will load the vehicle under the guidance of the management team, operate delivery trucks, transport products into various customer establishments, and manage inventory rotation in coolers as necessary. Additionally, drivers may assist with general warehouse support duties, including receiving shipments and participating in special projects.

As a member of our well-established company, you will have the opportunity to serve local restaurants, care homes, schools, and other businesses by delivering fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and a variety of food items. Driver Responsibilities:

• Operate a straight or box truck to deliver goods to customer locations while adhering to scheduled delivery windows.
• Deliver fresh food items to customers, consistently delivering excellent customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, reporting any discrepancies in vehicle condition to a supervisor.
• Perform warehouse duties, including picking orders, rotating inventory, and maintaining cleanliness through truck washing and other special projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in maneuvering the truck in and out of receiving docks.
• Maintain accurate check-in sheets and comply with all paperwork requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and complete the necessary training program.
• Operate (or be willing to learn to operate) forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, and other relevant warehouse equipment.
• Communicate effectively in standard English, with the ability to comprehend simple instructions and engage professionally with supervisors, customers, and coworkers.
• Regularly perform duties that require sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and writing.

Essential Requirements:

• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening for insurance purposes.
• Arrive punctually for shifts using reliable transportation.
• Be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Obtain or already possess a DOT Medical Card.
• Willingness to work early morning shifts, beginning between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM.

Education:

Experience:
