Job description:

We are seeking dependable delivery drivers with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and the safe, timely transportation of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, adhering to designated routes and schedules. Responsibilities include loading vehicles under the supervision of the management team, operating delivery trucks, delivering products to customer locations, and rotating items in coolers as necessary. Additional duties include providing miscellaneous warehouse support, such as assisting with receiving and participating in special projects.

As a valued team member of our well-established company, you will contribute to delivering fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and other food items to local restaurants, care homes, schools, and various organizations. Driver Responsibilities:

  • Operate straight/box trucks to ensure timely deliveries to customer locations.
  • Deliver fresh food items while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Inspect the truck for defects before and after each trip, promptly reporting any issues to a supervisor.
  • Assist in the warehouse by picking orders, rotating inventory, and performing general housekeeping tasks, including truck washing and special projects.
  • Maneuver the truck in and out of receiving docks as necessary.
  • Maintain check-in sheets and complete all required paperwork.
  • Comply with all company policies and successfully complete the training program.
  • Operate or be willing to learn the operation of forklift, pallet jack, hand carts, and other related warehouse equipment.
  • Read and write in standard English and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and write as part of daily responsibilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to pass a criminal background check and drug screening for insurance purposes.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for work shifts.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Flexibility to work shifts beginning in the early morning hours (between 5-7 AM).

Schedule:

  • Flexible workday schedule.
  • Six-day workweek, Monday to Saturday.
  • Shifts commence in the early morning, with overtime opportunities available.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Experience:

  • Two years of driving experience (preferred).
