What You Will Do:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee project safety guidelines to ensure full compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program, including accident and fire protection protocols on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to formulate safe work plans addressing all project phases and team tasks.
  • Conduct detailed daily safety inspections of all active work areas and maintain comprehensive documentation of these inspections.
  • Provide guidance to field staff regarding safety issues, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for newly hired employees.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Serve as the primary safety liaison between construction teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary safety-related reports.
  • Conduct investigations following accidents and instances of property damage.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions: This position is based in a construction environment, requiring travel and full-time commitment. Candidates must possess the physical capability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods. The role requires the ability to lift and hold objects exceeding 50 pounds, as well as to communicate effectively, hear instructions, and occasionally sit. Candidates should be prepared to work in confined spaces and at extreme heights, navigating tasks safely for themselves and others, often in hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on project location.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.

What We Expect:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: We seek candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Certifications and Licenses: Required certifications include OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Persons Training.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED along with five years of experience in safety management is required. A four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health and ten years of experience is preferred. The specific education and experience requirements may vary in accordance with particular job specifications.
