What You Will Do:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee project safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program across assigned projects, including accident and fire protection programs.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to create safe work plans for all project phases and team tasks.
  • Conduct detailed daily safety inspections of all active work sites, meticulously documenting findings.
  • Provide guidance to field staff on safety-related issues, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for newly hired employees.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Act as the construction safety liaison between the owner and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all required safety-related reports timely and accurately.
  • Conduct post-accident investigations and property damage assessments.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions: This role involves working in a construction setting with required travel. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing physical tasks, including crawling, climbing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods, and lifting and holding over 50 pounds. Candidates should be able to negotiate tasks safely in confined spaces and at extreme heights and must be able to endure varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and wet climates.

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.

What We Expect:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of applicable OSHA regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Certifications and Licenses: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Persons Training.

Education / Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and five years of experience in safety management is required. A four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health along with ten years of experience is preferred. Education and experience requirements may vary according to specific job necessities.
