What You Will Do

  • Plan, implement, and supervise project safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program for the assigned project, including accident and fire protection programs.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to develop safe work plans for all project phases and crew tasks.
  • Conduct thorough daily safety inspections of all active work areas and document these findings.
  • Advise field staff on safety issues, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Act as the safety liaison with owners and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
  • Prepare and submit all required safety-related reports.
  • Investigate incidents related to accidents and property damage.
  • Execute additional assignments as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions
This position will be in a construction setting and will require travel. The role demands the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods. Candidates must be capable of lifting and holding objects in excess of 50 lbs, as well as possessing the ability to endure confined spaces and/or extreme heights while performing tasks safely. The role may also expose workers to varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and wetness, depending on location.

Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.

What We Expect
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a working knowledge of relevant OSHA regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is essential.

Certifications, Licenses, etc.: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Persons Training are required.

Education / Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED with five years of experience in safety management is required. A four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, along with ten years of experience, is preferred. Note that education and experience requirements may vary based on specific job stipulations.
