As the Safety Manager for Commercial Mission Critical/Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of our workforce and ensuring compliance with established safety protocols across various project locations, primarily in Central Ohio and other domestic areas in the future. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee project safety protocols to guarantee compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to formulate safe work plans for all project phases and crew activities.
  • Conduct regular and detailed safety inspections of active work sites, maintaining comprehensive documentation of findings.
  • Advise field personnel on safety concerns, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Facilitate initial safety orientation training for newly hired employees.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and secure work environment.
  • Act as the principal safety liaison for construction activities, engaging with owners and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary safety-related reports.
  • Investigate accidents and property damages to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions: This full-time position requires travel and operates primarily in a construction environment. Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks, including crawling, climbing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, lifting over 50 lbs, and tolerating confined spaces or extreme heights. Additionally, candidates should be prepared to work in varying environmental conditions, including those that are hot, cold, humid, or wet.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication along with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Persons Training.
  • Education/Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least five years of experience in safety management is required. A four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health with ten years of experience is preferred; educational and experiential qualifications may vary based on specific project requirements.

This position, dedicated to a Mission Critical/Data Center project, is eligible for a market premium to the base salary.
