As the Safety Manager for our Commercial Mission Critical/Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce. This position requires travel and is currently based in Central Ohio, with potential future assignments at various domestic locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee project safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program for each assigned project.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to formulate safe work plans for all project phases and crew activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive daily safety inspections across active work areas and meticulously document findings.
  • Advise field personnel on safety matters, including policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for all new employees.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Act as the construction safety liaison with the project owner and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all mandatory safety-related reports in a timely manner.
  • Conduct post-accident investigations and property damage assessments.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions:

This role involves a construction setting that necessitates full-time travel. Candidates must be able to crawl, climb, walk, reach with their hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for extended periods, and lift and hold loads exceeding 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to work in confined spaces or at extreme heights safely. You should also be prepared to endure various weather conditions and maintain safety while performing tasks.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:
